Warhammer Tone Pro Ta'unar Ochre 1 is the darkest shade in the five-part Ta'unar Ochre color range. This warm brownish-orange ochre tone is ideal for shadows, dark base colors, and earthy surfaces such as fabric, leather, terrain, and weathered details.

Darkest shade of the Ta'unar Ochre range

Warhammer Tone Pro works with color ranges consisting of five ascending shades. Ta'unar Ochre 1 serves as the darkest starting point and is intended for the deepest shadows and darkest parts of the color gradient.

Continue working with Ta'unar Ochre 2 through 5 to build up increasingly lighter midtones and highlights without having to mix different ochre and orange shades yourself.

Ideal for earthy and warm surfaces

The brownish-orange color works excellently for fabrics, leather, cloaks, straps, and other warm natural materials. Ta'unar Ochre 1 is also well-suited for dry earth, sandstone, weathered scenery, and other earthy details.

The combination of orange and brown undertones also makes the color suitable for warm armor panels and decorative accents.

Versatile Tone Pro formula

Warhammer Tone Pro paints are developed for multiple painting techniques within the same color range. Ta'unar Ochre 1 can be used for basecoating, shading, and layering, but can also be thinned for glazing.

The paint is also suitable for drybrushing on terrain and other highly textured surfaces.

Usage

Shake the paint well before use. Apply Ta'unar Ochre 1 as a dark base color or use the shade precisely in recesses and shadows. Then work with Ta'unar Ochre 2, 3, 4, and 5 toward increasingly lighter volumes and highlights.
