Warhammer Tone Pro Dataslate Grey 5 is the lightest shade within the five-part Dataslate Grey color range. This very light neutral grey color is intended for final highlights on armor, stone, weapons, machinery, and other grey surfaces.
Lightest shade of the Dataslate Grey range
Warhammer Tone Pro works with color ranges of five progressive shades. Dataslate Grey 5 forms the final step in the color gradient and is ideal for the sharpest edges and most prominent details.
Use Dataslate Grey 1 and 2 for deep shadows, Dataslate Grey 3 as the central mid-tone, and Dataslate Grey 4 as the first highlight. Dataslate Grey 5 then provides maximum definition and contrast.
Ideal for sharp grey highlights
The very light neutral grey tone works excellently for edge highlights on power armor, weapons, vehicles, and mechanical parts. The color can also be used on concrete, rocks, ruins, and urban bases to make protruding textures stand out more clearly.
Due to its neutral undertone, Dataslate Grey 5 remains widely applicable for both cool and warm color schemes.
Versatile Tone Pro formula
Dataslate Grey 5 is suitable for layering, edge highlighting, and drybrushing. This makes the paint work well for both precise highlights on miniatures and for quickly accentuating relief on terrain and bases.
Additionally, when thinned, the color can be used for subtle glazes and soft transitions between Dataslate Grey 4 and the final highlight.
Use
Shake the paint well before use. Apply Dataslate Grey 5 sparingly to the highest parts and sharpest edges. Use Dataslate Grey 4 as a transition tone and limit this lightest color to the most prominent details for a controlled color gradient.
