Warhammer Tone Pro Chotek Orange 1 is the darkest shade within the five-part Chotek Orange colour range. This deep, saturated orange tone is ideal for shadows, dark base colours, and building up warm orange surfaces on armour, fabrics, flames, and heraldry.

Darkest shade of the Chotek Orange range

Warhammer Tone Pro works with colour ranges of five ascending shades. Chotek Orange 1 forms the darkest starting point and is intended for the deepest shadows and darkest parts of an orange colour gradient.

Then, continue working with Chotek Orange 2 through 5 to build up increasingly lighter midtones and highlights without having to mix different orange shades yourself.

Ideal for orange armour and flames

The powerful dark orange tone works excellently for power armour, vehicles, shields, fabrics, and heraldry. Chotek Orange 1 also makes for a useful dark base for fire, glowing details, and other warm colour effects.

By using the colour as a first layer, there remains sufficient room to build up strong warmth and contrast with the lighter Chotek Orange shades.

Versatile Tone Pro formula

Warhammer Tone Pro paints are developed for multiple painting techniques within the same colour range. Chotek Orange 1 can be used for basecoating, shading, and layering, but can also be applied thinned for glazing.

The paint is therefore suitable for both large armour plates and smaller details where a controlled orange colour gradient is desired.

Usage

Shake the paint well before use. Apply Chotek Orange 1 as a dark base colour or use the tone specifically in recesses and deep shadow areas. Then work with Chotek Orange 2, 3, 4, and 5 towards increasingly lighter orange volumes and highlights.
