Warhammer Tone Pro Carthalos Skin 4 is a lighter shade within the five-part Carthalos Skin color range. This warm, dark grey-red color is developed for building highlights on dark skin tones and works excellently on faces, hands, and other visible skin areas.
Lighter shade of the Carthalos Skin range
Warhammer Tone Pro works with color ranges of five ascending shades. Carthalos Skin 4 forms the first distinct highlight above the central Carthalos Skin 3 midtone.
Use Carthalos Skin 1 and 2 for the deeper shadows, Carthalos Skin 3 as the central base color, and then work with Carthalos Skin 4 and the lighter Carthalos Skin 5 towards the highest skin areas.
Ideal for dark skin tones
The warm red-brown undertone makes Carthalos Skin 4 particularly suitable for accentuating cheekbones, nose, fingers, knuckles, and other protruding parts of dark skin.
By applying the shade in a controlled manner over Carthalos Skin 3, extra definition is created without the transition to the highlights becoming too harsh.
Versatile Tone Pro formula
Warhammer Tone Pro paints are developed for various painting techniques within the same color range. Carthalos Skin 4 can be used for layering and highlighting, but can also be applied thinned for glazing and soft transitions.
The paint is also suitable for drybrushing on surfaces where a warm red-brown highlight is desired.
Use
Shake the paint well before use. Apply Carthalos Skin 4 in thin layers on raised skin areas above Carthalos Skin 3. Use the color for broader highlights and then work with Carthalos Skin 5 on the sharpest and most prominent details.
