Citadel Layer – T’au Light Ochre – 22-42

Citadel Layer: T’au Light Ochre is a warm ochre-brown paint shade that is ideal for highlights, earthy colour gradients, and brightening yellow, brown, and sand-coloured schemes. This colour works excellent for T’au armour, leather, fabric, desert bases, camouflage, and weathered equipment.

For warm layers and controlled highlights

As a Layer paint, T’au Light Ochre is designed to be painted over a base colour or a previous layer. The paint builds up well in thin layers, allowing you to add warmth and definition to surfaces without the result becoming too bright. Use it, for example, on armour panels, cloaks, belts, pouches, weapon shafts, and terrain pieces.

Strong for T’au, desert, and military themes

T’au Light Ochre is particularly well-suited for T’au Empire colour schemes, but it is also very useful for fantasy and sci-fi miniatures with a dry, dusty, or military look. Think of desert uniforms, weathered armour, sand-coloured fabrics, leatherwork, wooden details, and bases with a dry earth or savanna look.

Combines beautifully with other earth tones

This colour works well as a highlight over darker ochre, brown, and sand tones. For sharper accents, you can further lighten it with lighter beige or bone-coloured shades. Thin the paint slightly and work with multiple thin layers for a smooth, matte result where the details of your miniature remain beautifully visible.
