Citadel Layer: Tallarn Sand is a warm sand-brown paint ideal for highlights, dry earth tones, and lightening dust, leather, skin, and basing details. The color has a natural desert-like appearance and works excellently for miniatures with a dusty, military, or weathered look.

For sandy layers and controlled highlights

As a Layer paint, Tallarn Sand is designed to be painted over a base color or previous layer. The paint builds up well in thin layers, allowing you to give brown, beige, and khaki surfaces more definition without the result becoming too harsh. Use it, for example, on cloaks, belts, pouches, boots, weapon shafts, skin details, and terrain elements.

Strong for desert, dust, and basing themes

Tallarn Sand pairs perfectly with fantasy and sci-fi miniatures with a dry or realistic look. Think of desert uniforms, sand-colored armor, weathered clothing, dry mud, rocks, ruins, and bases with a savanna, wasteland, or desert theme. This color is also very useful for subtle highlights on light skin tones and leatherwork.

Combines well with other earth tones

This color works well as a highlight over darker brown, sand, and khaki tones, and can be further lightened with Karak Stone or lighter beige colors for sharper accents. Thin the paint slightly and work with multiple thin layers for a clean, matte finish where the details of your miniature remain beautifully visible.
