Citadel Layer – Hoeth Blue (12ml)
Hoeth Blue is a bright, fresh blue from the Citadel Layer paint range. This paint is designed to add highlights and colour gradations to miniatures that have already received a basecoat. Thanks to its fine pigment structure and smooth coverage, Hoeth Blue is ideal for adding depth and brightness to blue colour schemes.
In Warhammer armies, this colour is often used for energy effects, light blue accents on armour, or building up highlights on dark blue base colours.
Perfect for layering and highlights
Like all Citadel Layer paints, Hoeth Blue is designed to be applied in thin layers. This allows you to build up colour in a controlled manner without losing details on your miniature. It is an excellent choice for setting highlights on darker blue tones or creating soft colour transitions on armour, cloaks, or energy effects.
By using multiple thin layers, you can achieve a beautiful bright end result that adds extra contrast to your miniature.
Colour usage in the painting process
Hoeth Blue is often used as a highlight colour over darker blue tones. In a classic Citadel painting process, for example, it can be applied after a basecoat of a deeper blue colour to make sharp edges or raised surfaces stand out extra.
Its fresh tint also makes it suitable for magical effects, plasma coils, power weapons, and other light energy effects on science fiction miniatures.
