Citadel Layer: Fire Dragon Bright is a vibrant, bright orange paint ideal for sharp highlights, fire effects, and striking accents on miniatures. The colour has a powerful, warm appearance and works excellently when you want to give red, orange, or yellow surfaces extra intensity and definition.
For vibrant highlights and warm layers
As a Layer paint, Fire Dragon Bright is designed to be painted controlled over a base colour or previous layer. The paint builds up well in thin layers, allowing you to add more brightness to orange surfaces without losing detail. Use it, for example, on flames, armour panels, lenses, runes, scales, weapons, clothing, and energy effects.
Strong for fire, lava, and striking accents
Fire Dragon Bright pairs perfectly with Salamanders, Fyreslayers, Khorne models, Orks, dragons, demons, and miniatures with a fiery or aggressive look. This colour is also very useful for lava bases, glowing weapons, explosive OSL effects, hazard markings, and warm edge highlights.
Combines beautifully with other orange and yellow tones
This colour works well as a bright highlight over Troll Slayer Orange, Squig Orange, or other warm orange tones. For extra sharp fire or glow accents, you can further lighten it with yellow or an almost white tone. Slightly thin the paint and work with multiple thin layers for a crisp, matte result where sculpt details remain beautifully visible.
