Citadel Layer: Balor Brown is a warm, ocher brown paint that is ideal for highlights, earthy gradients, and natural accents on miniatures. The color is between brown, yellow, and sand, making it excellent for leather, fabric, wood, desert bases, skin details, and weathered equipment.

For Warm Layers and Controlled Highlights

As a Layer paint, Balor Brown is designed to be painted over a base color or previous layer. The paint builds up nicely in thin layers, allowing you to add more definition to brown and sandy surfaces without the result becoming too bright. Use it, for example, on cloaks, belts, pouches, weapon shafts, armor panels, and terrain pieces.

Great for Leather, Fabric, and Dry Basing

Balor Brown perfectly complements fantasy and sci-fi models with an earthy, dusty, or weathered look. Think of desert uniforms, rough clothing, leather accessories, wooden details, dry earth, rocks, and bases with a savanna or wasteland theme. This shade can also be very useful for orc-like skin, animal fur, and horns.

Blends Beautifully with Other Earth Tones

This color works well as a highlight over darker browns and ocher tones, and can be further brightened with Zamesi Desert, T’au Light Ochre, or lighter beige shades. Lightly thin the paint and work with multiple thin layers for a crisp, matte result where the details of your miniature remain beautifully visible.
