Citadel Layer: Auric Armour Gold is a bright, warm gold metallic paint ideal for shiny highlights, rich ornamentation, and striking metallic accents on miniatures. This shade has a warm yellow-gold character and works excellently as a lighter step above darker gold and bronze tones.

As a Layer paint, Auric Armour Gold is designed to be painted in a controlled manner over a base colour or a previous metallic layer. The paint is suitable for giving gold surfaces more shine and definition without losing details. Use it on armour plates, weapons, shields, decorative trim, helmets, relics, and ornamental edges.

Strong for luxurious and ceremonial details

Auric Armour Gold pairs perfectly with Stormcast Eternals, Adeptus Custodes, Space Marines, fantasy heroes, temple guards, royal equipment, and richly adorned terrain pieces. With a dark wash, the colour gains more depth and an antique effect; with targeted highlights, it appears clean, polished, and ceremonial.

Blends beautifully with other metallics

This colour works excellently as a lighter highlight over Gehenna's Gold or other warm gold tones. For extra sharp accents, you can further lighten small points or edges with a silvery metallic. Thin the paint slightly and work with multiple thin coats for a neat metallic finish where the sculpt details remain sharply visible.
