Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon – 11th Edition Starter Box
The battle for Armageddon rages once more. In this grand launch box for the 11th edition of Warhammer 40,000, the Space Marines face off against a massive Ork Waaagh!, as Ghazghkull Thraka’s return further fuels the war on the beleaguered world. The Space Marines initiate Operation Imperator to bolster the Imperial resistance, but the Orks arrive in enormous numbers and with enough dakka to make the planet tremble.
A complete start to the new edition
Armageddon is a robust starter box for players who want to dive straight into the new edition. The set contains two large push-fit forces, rules, datasheet cards, mission cards, and narrative campaign materials. This makes it interesting not only for new players but also for veterans looking to expand their Space Marines, Orks, or the Armageddon campaign.
Space Marines: elite strength and flexible striking power
The Space Marine side combines sturdy objective holders, fast assault units, and heavy firepower. Think of Intercessors for solid core control, Vanguard Veterans with jump packs for aggressive charges, Eradicators with heavy bolters for horde-clearing, and a revamped Land Speeder for mobile firepower. The Characters give the force extra personality, from a Captain with relic shield to a Librarian, Chaplain with jump pack, and Ancient with banner.
Orks: brutal mass, speed, and insane machines
The Orks bring exactly what you’d expect from a Waaagh!: lots of bodies, hard melee, rokkits, grots, and bizarre Mek-constructs. The Warboss and Bigboss form the throbbing green fist of the horde, while Boyz and Gretchin fill the table. The Wartrakk provides fast fire support and the Big Mek Dakkarig is a striking centerpiece model full of mechanical chaos and heavy dakka.
Hobby and painting opportunities
This box is full of character. The Space Marines offer plenty of room for Chapter colors, weathering, campaign markings, and battle damage. The Ancient with banner is ideal for freehand or transfers. On the Ork side, you get plenty of texture: rusty metal, bright glyphs, leather, crude weapons, vehicles, and improvised Mek-technology. For basing, industrial ruins, ash wastes, hive city rubble, and scorched Armageddon landscapes fit both armies perfectly.
